Volunteering at Fall Harvest – September 2026

From Lori Motuzas: Just a couple of things we wanted to share. This showed us so much generosity in people that we wanted to share what we learned today. It’s amazing how far you can pay forward and have the impact felt by so many people. It felt great to be a part of this.

One of them was that people would come back after they paid and left because they felt that they didn’t pay the full prices on some items.
One gentleman gave a tip from an $84 fee up to $100 just to give more to the charities.
One gal bought a bunch of apples that she then donated entirely to a school.
Somebody bought a bunch of produce and took it to their local fire station.
One person bought a bunch of produce and opened their vehicle up and offered much of what they bought to a neighbour, one of whom was a new Canadian and this person returned the favour by doing a bunch of renovation work on their house to help them out.

Annual Cenovus Retirement Club Golf Tournament – July 22, 2026

It was a beautiful day out at Crystal Ridge Golf Club where 33 folks played nine holes (shot gun start) of golf while another 14 played mini golf and 2 folks just came to cheer us all on and then enjoy lunch. Much thanks to Lisa Dempster who organized a great day for us all. The course was in great shape; the meal was great and ALMOST everyone got a prize. Special shout out to the three very talented folks who won our prizes:
Skip Myers – Longest Putt
Melanie Heilman – Closest to the Pin
Anita Beaudin – Longest Putt

Special thanks and a big shout out to our friends at Cenovus corporate and Cenovus downstream who donated a lot of great prizes. See you all next year!
